What a treasure for Purley this is. Welcome. Friendly. Helpful! And the food. What a treat! From the welcome (wheelchair friendly) to the goodbye, our visit was one to remember. Food was super! It had an authentic-ness to it that took me back to previous trips abroad. The portions was great, hearty. Welcoming. Appetising! Only the friendly service exceeded the food. Always a smile. Always a checking if all is ok without the interruption you often get at smaller establishments. Thank you Farida, Jamal and Nicky and compliments to the chef(s). Planning my bday celebration there already!

"Amazing Egyptian Food"

We went in a group of four for the first time to El Sham and were not disappointed. The restaurant is small inside but it makes up for it with the fabulous food . Everything we had from the starters tasted wonderful . It was extremely well priced and the owners are extremely friendly and welcoming . Would highly recommend.

What a hidden gem! Delicious food, generous portions and gorgeous cocktails! Felt like we were on holiday and the staff were lovely and welcoming! Can’t believe this is on out doorstep! Will be returning soon!
